A Carlisle pub is planning a refurbishment.
The St Nicholas Arms, at the bottom of London Road close to the centre of Carlisle, has submitted plans to Carlisle City Council for both an internal and external refurbishment.
Should the plans be approved, the pub will install new external signage and lighting, and will construct a new pagoda to the rear.
The application also indicates that the development, should it go ahead, will require two full-time and four part-time employees.
