A man who committed assault caused hundreds of pounds worth of criminal damage has appeared in court.
Daniel James Lee, 28, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington to face one charge of assault and two of criminal damage.
Magistrates heard that, on October 30, Lee had assaulted a woman in Flimby.
He also caused £795.99 worth of damage to a house in the village which belonged to Castles and Coasts Housing Association, and broke a £600 television owned by his assault victim.
Lee, of Edenfield Road, Rochdale, pleaded guilty to the three offences.
Magistrates fined him £235 and ordered him to pay £765.99 compensation, £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
The court heard that the damaged television had been replaced.
