A Little Broughton man has been handed a £240 court bill after obstructing a police officer.
West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington heard that Stephen William Cook, 46, wilfully obstructed DC 2229 Ayton in the execution of his duty in the town on November 10.
Cook, of Kirklea, admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates.
He was handed a £125 fine for the offence. Magistrates also ordered him to pay Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85 and a £30 surcharge to help fund victim services.
