A campaign has been launched to encourage more Cumbrian patients to access GP practice services via their phone, tablet and computer.
Latest data shows that only a quarter of local patients currently use online services to book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, see their test results and GP record.
The Great North Care Record says doing so can help the NHS over the busy winter period.
Dr Mark Dornan said: “We need to move the NHS into the digital age – so people who want to use online services can have the convenience.”
