A THIRD man has admitted being involved in a brutal Christmas Eve gang sex attack on a woman in Carlisle.

Two other men - Kabir Hussain, 41, and 32-year-old Marco Martins - were jailed in March for almost 15 years after subjecting their victim to what a Carlisle Crown Court judge said was a “grossly degrading” ordeal.

Hussain, of Tower Hamlets, London, was jailed for 11 years. He had admitted two rapes and one sexual assault. Martins, of Borland Avenue, Carlisle, admitted sexual assault. He was locked up for 45 months.

The court heard how they took advantage of their victim while she was drunk. She begged to be freed as the shocking incident unfolded.

The third involved was Mohammed Miah, 38, who absconded while on bail. He has now admitted a rape charge. Judge James Adkin, who asked for a report on the defendant’s future risk of dangerousness, willl sentence Miah on January 11.

The defendant is from The Strand, Exmouth, Devon.
