TWO Workington families are celebrating after winning the Daily Prize with People’s Postcode Lottery.
Today the CA14 4BD postcode was the winning one and the two Curwen Street winners will see their bank accounts boosted by £1,000 each for every ticket that they play with thanks to the win.
Judie McCourt, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, said: "I couldn’t be more pleased for all our players in Workington who have picked up a prize today! With Christmas just around the corner I’m sure that the windfall will come in very handy"
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £361 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
Many good causes local to the winners have benefitted from the money raised, and the next opportunity to apply for funding will be in February.
