Safety fears have prompted the emergency closure of a north Cumbrian bridge.
Irthing Bridge, on the A6071 near Brampton, is closed in both directions until further notice.
Cumbria Police say it is due to structural safety issues
Engineers will be attending to assess the state of the bridge.
It affects the stretch from the Roman Road, near Irthington, to the Walton turn off.
Road users are urged to avoid the area.
