HOW THEY MET: They met on an internet dating site in 2016 and their first date was at the Apple Tree, Carlisle.
PROPOSAL: At home in May 2017 when Steven got down on one knee with a Haribo ring. They bought the engagement ring the next day, a year after their first date.
STAG & HEN CELEBRATIONS: Spa day at Appleby Manor and a meal at Franco’s, Carlisle for the hens; a day in Newcastle for the stags.
VENUE: Edenhall Church, Penrith.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An Amanda Wyatt dress with veil and tiara.
HAIR & BEAUTY: Hair by Jo Maleny of Carlisle and make-up by Jenny Hook, Penrith.
GROOMSMEN: Darren and Daniel Gaffney, groom’s brothers, were ushers, and Trent and Brodie Gaffney, the groom’s nephews, were page-boys.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s sister Kirsty Marshall; cousins, Sarah Norton and Emma McGregor, were bridesmaids and Layla-Rose Gaffney, groom’s daughter; Lucy Williamson, bride’s cousin; and groom’s nieces Jessica Blakey and Arianny Gaffney were flower girls.
JEWELLERY: The bride wore her mum’s pearl earrings and necklace.
FLOWERS: Dusky pink roses from Oopsie Daisy Flowers, Carlisle.
TRANSPORT: Rolls Royce supplied by Paul Bird and a Jaguar supplied by a family member.
RECEPTION: An afternoon reception for 80 guests at the Crown Hotel, Wetheral followed by an evening reception for 140 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Just Married Champagne glasses and bottles of bubbles, wedding confetti and arrangements of dusky pink and cream roses.
FAVOURS: Scratch cards for the children and fun boxes for the children.
CAKE: A four-tiered cake from Debbie Chadbury.
FIRST DANCE: Want to grow old with you – Westlife; daddy and daughter dance to Frozen.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco.
HONEYMOON: A minimoon to Blackpool and plans to go to Las Vegas and New York next year.
