TWO people have been rescued from a car submerged in flood water in Thirlmere.
Fire engines from Keswick and Penrith rushed to the vehicle at Back Lane, Thirlmere at 11.44am on Thursday.
After the two were rescued by Fire Service personnel, they were placed in the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
The three fire crews were at the scene for an hour.
