A launch date for late night Christmas shopping in Carlisle has been announced.
The Lanes Shopping Centre has confirmed it will start on Thursday, November 22.
The launch event will include a day of food, drink and entertainment.
There will also be free parking between 6pm and 9pm.
Thursday late night shopping is a long-standing Christmas tradition in Carlisle.
Many stores across the city stay open until about 9pm each Thursday in the run up to Christmas.
The extra shopping hours also give a boost to local cafes, restaurants and bars.
Announcing the launch party on November 22, the Lanes said: "To celebrate the start of late night shopping, we are hosting a day of food, drink, entertainment and more.
"From 9am to 9pm, we will have a range of independent food, drink and gift stalls. From 5.30pm, there will be live music, entertainment and Santa's grotto will be open.
"For a £3 minimum donation, all children will receive an early Christmas gift. Donations are in aid of CFM Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Appeal.
"We are offering free parking for one night only. Park in The Lanes from 6pm to 9pm and it won't cost you a penny."
