The A69 is now fully open following a serious crash.
Two drivers were taken to hospital following the collision on the Haydon Bridge bypass.
Two lorries and a van were involved in the crash, which happened late on Sunday night.
The road remained closed both ways, from A686 to B6319, today.
Police have now confirmed that all lanes have reopened.
The HGV crash happened at about 10.25pm.
Emergency services attended the scene where both drivers – aged 47 and 54 – were taken to hospital.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Traffic sergeant Alan Keenleyside of Northumbria Police said: “This is a very serious collision which saw both drivers taken to hospital."
Police are asking anyone who saw what happened in the moments leading up to the collision, particularly passing vehicles with any dash-cam footage, to get in touch so they can determine what has happened.
Anyone with information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1220 of November 4.
