Fashion retailer New Look is closing its store in Carlisle with the loss of about 35 jobs.
The fashion retailer will cease trading from the property in The Lanes Shopping Centre on November 3.
It's understood the decision may have been influenced by competition from rival businesses, as well as financial pressures.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: "I can confirm our Carlisle store is due to close on November 2."
It is not known what the future holds for the Workington store on Steelmens Walk.
