A driver has been killed in a crash north of Carlisle.
Police have confirmed that a two vehicle crash on the A7 at Westlinton, has resulted in one fatality.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 4pm today (09/10/18).
The road is closed both ways between Longtown and junction 44 of the M6, and is expected to be for several hours.
Multiple police cars, ambulances, fire engines and two air ambulances are at the scene of the crash, with police confirming three people were involved in the crash.
A driver and one passenger were travelling in one of the vehicles, with one driver in the other.
