Vehicle fire on M6 in Cumbria
Emergency services are responding to reports of a vehicle fire on the M6 in north Cumbria.
The incident is believed to have happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 42 (Carlisle South) and junction 41 at Catterlen, near Penrith.
Despite the alert, traffic is said to be coping well.
The incident was first reported just after 7am.
