A warning has been issued about dangerous drugs featuring the Bitcoin logo circulating at the Kendal Calling festival.

Cumbria Police and drugs charity The Loop have told attendees to "be aware" of the pink ecstasy pills as they contain double the dosage of an 'average' tablet.

The festival, near Penrith, is being heavily policed and amnesty bins, allowing people to discard drugs, are in operation throughout the showground.

Cumbria Police tweeted: "If you feel unwell seek medical attention. Look after each other and stay safe. #NodrugsNeeded."
