HUNDREDS of jellyfish have been spotted washed up on St Bees beach.
Darren Corlett videoed the swarm of jellyfish earlier this week, before posting it on social media to warn people of their presence.
There has been many sightings of jellyfish along the Cumbrian coast in the past few weeks.
Just this week a warning was issued after a potentially dangerous species – Lions' Mane – was sighted on the Millom coastline.
David Harpley, conservation manager for the Cumbria Wildlife Trust, said it was uncommon to see the Lion's Mane this far north, but changing sea conditions were seeing more and more species inhabit Cumbria's waters.
"Sightings are increasing but we don't know why," he said. "It might be to do with changes in climate or changes in ocean acidity. The sea will be warming, the whole world is warming up."
