Primark is advertising jobs at its new store in Carlisle.

The retailer is offering permanent, full-time "management opportunities at all levels".

Salaries range from £23,205 to £33,485, depending on experience.

Primark recently signed a 25-year deal to move into Carlisle city centre, understood to be one of the company’s biggest deals in the UK.

The budget clothing firm penned the contract with the owners of the Lanes Shopping Centre, Carlisle Shopping Centre Ltd, in which Carlisle City Council owns a 23.66 per cent stake.

It will move into the former shop run by BHS, which was paid £5 million to vacate the premises, just three months before that chain collapsed. The city council contributed £1.4m towards the pay-off.

No date has yet been set for Primark's opening but it is expected to be before winter.
