GLASS City is back at its regular Thursday venue next week, with three Cumbrian acts appearing at Open Mind, in Carlisle.

The evening's headliners, The Postcard Band, need little introduction in the Carlisle area.

A hard-working, heavy gigging pop trio, coming across like a cross between the Housemartins and the Smiths, they bring sunny harmonies and choice cuts from their latest EP, The Fortune Teller, to this unplugged performance.

Kendra France, a talented singer-songwriter from Windermere is the main support, making the long trip up the A591 for her second appearance at Open Mind.

Being influenced equally by modern pop and Paul Simon means Kendra plays an eclectic and varied set, which showcases her majestic, angelic voice.

Fresh from a last minute Glass City debut at the Source, Marblmoon is the brainchild of Ciara Bottrell, an emerging talent that is really starting to make a name for herself as a performer on the Carlisle scene. Influenced by 60s pop and country, she adds a modern twist.

The show on Thursday 16 starts at 8pm, and entrance is free, but with donations welcomed for all performers.
