HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO 549035 PARISH OF LOWER ALLITHWAITE) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019 On the 4 April 2019 Cumbria County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert that section of public footpath no 549035 at Blenkett Farm from GR 338629 476149 south-southeastwards for about 317 metres to GR 338741 475873: to run from GR 338671 476139 south-southeastwards for about 301 metres to GR 338741 47587. The width of the new length of footpath will vary between 6 metres and 1.5 metres as shown ontheorder map. A copy of the Order as confirmed and map may be inspected free of charge at Grange over Sands Local Link, Grange Fell Road, Grange over Sands LAM 6BQ and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ (ref 5.2.434). Copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of £2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet

The order comes into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 11 April 2019 make an application to the High Court Chief Legal Officer
