ON SOLWAY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019

The above named Order made on 7 March 2019 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will divert that section of public footpath no 214012 at Bowness Common from grid reference 319839 559267 northeastwards for 414 metres to grid reference 320092 559574; to run from grid reference 319839 559267 northwards for about 177 metres via a culvert at GR 319799 559395 to GR 319788 559437 then turning eastwards for 340 metres across Bowness Common via culverts at GR 319830 559468; 320025 559550 and 320092 559571 to GR320092 559574. The width of the new length of footpath will vary between 3 metres, 2 metres and 1.4 metres.

Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order can be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email as addresses above) to be received not later than 12 April 2019 and should state the grounds on which they are made.

If no objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the Cumbria County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State any objections which have not been withdrawn will be submitted with the Order. Chief Legal Officer
