THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (BLACKFRIARS STREET, CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY NO LOADING AND UNLOADING TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of die likelihood of danger to the public, as a result of inconsiderate parking causing an obstruction to highway users, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from loading or unloading at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) on the following lengths of Blackfriars Street, Carlisle, which are already restricted by double yellow lines, representing No Waiting At Any Time restrictions;
(i) North eastern side of Blackfriars Street, Carlisle from its (unction with Ferguson's Lane to its junction with Victoria Viaduct and;
(ii) South western side of Blackfriars Street, Carlisle from a point approx. 80m north west of its junction with Victoria Viaduct extending predominantly in a north westerly direction, including the turning head to a point opposite Ferguson's Lane.
N.B. This follows 2 emergency notices dated 16 December 2021 and 6 January 2022.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email
