TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 COPELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL COPELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO 406001 AND 406006 PARISH OF EGREMONT) PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP AND DIVERSION ORDER (NO 1)2020

On 23 November 2021 the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above-named Order made under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990.

The Order, as confirmed, will divert the whole width of that section of public footpath no 406001 at Whangs Beck in the parish of Egremont from GR 300042 510851 53 metres northwards and northwestwards to GR 300033 510903; to run from GR 300027 510892 14 metres north-northwestwards to GR 300033 510903. The width of the new path will be 2 metres; and stop up die whole width of that section of public footpath no 406006 at Whangs Beck in the parish of Egremont from GR 300042 510851 eastwards for about 226 metres to GR 300260 510798.

A copy of the Order, as confirmed, and map may be inspected free of charge at Egremont Library, West Lakes Academy, Main Street, Egremont CA22 2DQ and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park Carlisle CA6 4SJ (ref 5.1.457). for further information, The order comes into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town & Country Planning Act, as amended, or on die ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 278 of the Town & Count7 Planning Act 1990, within 6 weeks from I December 2021 as required by paragraph 7 of the Schedule 14 to that Act Nick Hayhurst, Planning and Place Manager
