THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U5696 MAIN ROAD, C5036 PENNINGTON LANE, U5125 SEG LANE AND C5031 CARLEY LAN E, CROSS-A-MOOR) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U5696 MAIN ROAD, C5036 PENNINGTON LANE, U5125 SEG LANE AND C5031 CARLEY LAN E, CROSS-A-MOOR) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Highways England to carry out roundabout construction works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along the following sections of road at Cross-A-Moor:-

1. U5696 Main Road: From its junction with the A590 extending in a south easterly direction to its {unction with Urswick Road. Alternative route: via Urswick Road, Springfield Road, Princes Street and the A590.



2. C5036 Pennington Lane: From its {unction with the A590 extending in a north westerly direction to its {unction with the J5I24.



Alternative route: via the U5I24 and A590.

N.B. The above closure will not operate during the closure of

Seg Lane.

3. U5125 Seg Lane: From its junction with the A590 extending in a northerly direction to its junction with the C5036. Alternative route: via the C5036, C5036 Pennington Lane, and A590.



4. C503I Carley Lane: From its junction with the A590 extending in a south easterly direction to its junction with Urswick Road.



Alternative route: via Urswick Road, Main Road and A590. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency service personnel, vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and



2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and



4. Apply to personnel and vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

quoting the reference BA2I/68. The Order will come into operation on 11 October 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 10 months and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
