THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C20I6 PAPCASTLE ROAD, PAPCASTLE, C2027 EAGLESFIELD AND U2360 HORSMAN STREET, COCKERMOUTH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Northern Gas Networks to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:

1. C20I6 Papcastle Road, Papcastle, from a point approx. 45 metres west of its junction with Dovers Lane, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 90 metres:

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C20I6 Papcastle Road, C2007, A66, Low Road and Gote Road. Duration: From 11 October 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ret AL2I-399)

2. C2027 Eaglesfield, from its junction with the U2192, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 95 metres:



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2027, C2032 and the A5086.

Duration: From 13 October 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: AL2I-40I)

3. U2360 Horsman Street, Cockermouth from a point approx 30 metres south of its junction with Low Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 25 metres:



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Horsman Street, Fletcher Street, Derwent Street and Low Road. Duration: From 25 October 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: AL2I-402)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and



(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on II October 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
