THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS, WORKINGTON AND SURROUNDING AREA) (CONSOLIDATION AND PROVISION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) ORDER 20><

1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that it proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 19, 32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.



Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that it proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 19, 32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the proposed Order will be to: ■



(1) Consolidate the existing provisions of (i) The County of Cumbria (Various Roads, Workington and Surrounding Area) Order 2017; and (ii) The County of Cumbria (Various Roads Workington and Surrounding Area) (Order 2017) Variation Order (No. I) 2019; and



(2) to introduce/amend (as applicable below), the following restrictions so that all of the restrictions in Workington and the surrounding area, are contained in one concise traffic regulation order: -



(a) To introduce/alter "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of-



Derwent Bank, Church Road, Church Street and Causeway Road, Seaton;

(ii) Grecian Terrace, Northfield Avenue and Dene Avenue, Harrington;



(iii) Hawkshead Avenue, High Street, Oxford Street, Rttwood Road, Workington;



(iv) U7I62. C2031 and C2036 Dean.



(b) To introduce "Disc Parking Places, Waiting Limited to I hour, return prohibited within I hour, 8.30 am - 6.00 pm, Monday - Saturday inclusive (Zone I Residents Exempt)" on part of Pinfold Street, Workington

(c) Extend the "Disc Parking Places, Waiting Limited to I hour, return prohibited within I hour, 8.30 am - 6.00 pm, Monday -Saturday inclusive (Zone 2 Residents Exempt) restriction on John Street, Workington;



(d) To introduce "No Loading/Unloading between 8.30 am -6.00 pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive" on part of Station Road, Mason Street and Milburn Street, Workington



(e) Introduce "No Loading or Unloading, at Any Time" restrictions on part of Central Way (south east side), Harrington Road, John Street and Mason Street, Workington;



(f) Introduce "Loading and Unloading for Business Purposes Only" in the loading bay at Opera Bingo on Central Way, Workington;



(g) Remove the "Prohibition of all vehicles - Except for deliveries to Zone 3 Service Yard & Permit Holders A & B" on Pow Street, Workington, and replace it with "Pedestrian Zone - Prohibition of all vehicles - Except for deliveries to Zone 3 Service Yard & Permit Holders A & B"; and



(h) Introduce "No Stopping on 'School Keep Clear* markings, 8.00 am - 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive" on part of the C203I and C2036 Dean..
