THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U1241 WILEY SIKE, U1050 AND B6318 KINGWATER, NEARGILSLAND) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable BT Openreach to carry out works to install new poles ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road
1. U1241 Wiley Sike, near Gilsland from a point adjacent to 'Moscow Farm' extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1300m;
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. Duration: from 05 April 2021 for I day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours (Ref: C639)
2. UI050 Kingwater, near Gilsland from its {unction with the B6318, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 570m; Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1050, U1048 and B63I8 Lees Hill.
Duration: from 08 April 2021 for I day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours (Ref: C638)
3. B63I8 Kingwater, near Gilsland from its junction with the U1050, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. I km; Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B63I8, C1029, A69 Brampton ans C1023 Gilsland.
Duration: from 09 April 2021 for I day between 0900 and 1600 hours (Ref: C643)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 5 April 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months, However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
