THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C5106 HOPHOUSE LANE, KIRKBY LONSDALE AND C5048 TOTTER BANK, CROSTHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C5106 HOPHOUSE LANE, KIRKBY LONSDALE AND C5048 TOTTER BANK, CROSTHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Electricity North West to carry out excavation and installation works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road;
1. C5I06 Hophouse Lane, Kirkby Lonsdale from a point approx 25m north of its junction with the A65, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx 150m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5I06 Hophouse Lane, B6254, B6254 Fairbank, B6254 Queens Square, U5406 Mitchelgate, B6446 Kendal Road and the A65. Duration: from 15 March 2021 for approx. 5 days (Ref: SL20/546)

C5I06 Hophouse Lane, Kirkby Lonsdale from a point approx 25m north of its junction with the A65, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx
50m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5I06 Hophouse Lane, B6254, B6254 Fairbank, B6254 Queens Square, U5406 Mitchelgate, B6446 Kendal Road and the A65. Duration: from 15 March 2021 for approx. 5 days (Ref: SL20/546)
2. C5048 Totter Bank, Crosthwaite, from a point approx 136m east of its junction with the C506I, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx 100m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5048 Totter Bank, C5047, A5074 Hyning Brow and the A5074. Duration: from 15 March 2021 for approx. 12 days (Ref: SL20/550)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by
statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii)Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for
pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads,
or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from the roads; and
(iv)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email

The Order will come into operation on 15 March 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
