CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL (BRIDLEWAY NO 138055 PARISH OF WETHERAL) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019
On the 16 February 2021 Cumbria County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The Order, as confirmed, will divert that section of public bridleway no 138055 at Cock lakes in the parish of Wetheral from grid reference 345679 551678 southeastwards for 694 metres to grid reference 346068 551155; to run from grid reference 345679 551678 southeastwards for 52 metres to 345725 551655,-then northeastwards for 107 metres to grid reference 345798 551730; turning southeastwards for 285 metres to grid reference 346028 551571; turning northeastwards for 8 metres to grid reference 346032 551579. The width of the new path will be 3 metres.

The order comes into force on 19 February 2021, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 19 February 2021 make an application to the High Court.
