THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA [VARIOUS ROADS, CARLISLE URBAN AND RURAL
AREA) (CONSOLIDATION AND MINOR AMENDMENT OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2001) VARIATION (NO. 60) (U1301 RULEHOLME OLD BRIDGE) (PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. Cumbria Count/ Council hereby give notice that on 16 February 2021 it made the above Order under Sections 1,2,19, 32, 3 5, 3SA, 38,45,46,47,49, 51, 53 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The Order will come into operation on 22 February 2021 and its effect will be to: -
(i) Introduce a permanent "Prohibition of All Traffic" restriction (to include all motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, with no exemptions), along that section of the UI30I for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the centre line of Rule hoi me Old Bridge.
(ii) Amend the existing "Prohibition of Entry/Driving" restriction along the remainder of the U1301 to accommodate the above restriction.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 16 February 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
