THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN BARROW-IN FURNESS AND DALTON-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. I) ORDER 2021

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN BARROW-IN FURNESS AND DALTON-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. I) ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road;

1. The U6I56 Park Drive, Barrow-in- Furness, from a point approx 300m south east of its {unction C60I0 Abbey Road, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx 540m.



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Park Drive, Risedale Road, Roose Road, Safthouse Road, Rawlinson Street and Abbey Road.

Duration: from 8 February 2021 for approx. 5 days (Ref: BA20/94).

2. C6009 Market Street, Dafton-in-Furness, from its junction with the C6002 Station Road, extending in a westerly direction for a distance of approx 95m.



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the Market Street, C60I0, U6064 Cemetery Hill, Holly Gate Road and the C6002 Station Road.

Duration: from 15 February202l for approx. 8 days (Ref: BA20/I06).

3. U6033 Nelson Street, Dafton-in-Furness, from a point approx 125m north of its junction with the C6009 Market Street, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 50m. Alternative Route for west bound vehicles: via the unrestricted section of Nelson Street, Market Street, Skelgate and Myrtle Terrace;



Alternative Route for east bound vehicles: via the unrestricted section of Nelson Street, Market Street,Tudor Square, Broughton Street and Chapel Street.

4. U6030 Chapel Street, Dalton-in-Furness, from a point approx 425m south west of its junction with the C600I Broughton Road, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx 30m.



Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Chapel Street, Myrtle Terrace, Skelgate, Market Street, Tudor Square and Broughton Road.

Duration: from 15 February for approx. 8 days (Ref: BAR20/I07)

5. U6079 Coronation Drive, Dafton-ln-Furness, from its junction with the C6002 Greystone Lane, extending in an overall north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 380m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Coronation Drive, Newton Road, Cemetery Hill, Holly Gate Road and Greystone Lane.



Duration: from 15 February 2021 to I March 2021 (Ref: BA20/III)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall: (i)Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and (ii)Appry to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and (iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 8 February 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
