THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A592 PATTERDALE ROAD, NEAR TROUTBECK BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out culvert replacement works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the A592 Patterdale Road, near Troutbeck Bridge from a point 2.7km north of its junction with the A591 extending in a northerly direction for approx. 130m. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via unrestricted section of the A592 Patterdale Road, AS9I Ambleside Road, Lake Road and Wansfell Road (south bound), A593 Rothay Road (south bound) and Compston Road (north bound), A59I Rydal Road (south bound), Market Place (south bound) and Lake Road (south bound), A59I, B5322, A66, A509I andtheA592.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service personnel, and vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and

4. Apply to vehicles and personnel being used in connection with the Works.

quoting the reference SL20/385. The Order will come into operation on 23 November 2020 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction(s) will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
