THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A5087 PRIORY ROAD, ULVERSTON) (TEMPORARY 10 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable United Utilities to carry out works for the installation of new connections ("the Works), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 10 miles per hour along that section of the A5087 Priory Road, Ulverston from a point approx. 530m south east of its junction with the U5270 West End Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 62m.
N.B. The 10 miles per hour speed restriction will operate where contractor's operatives and plant are working on site. It will be operated on a convoy system with a lead vehicle controlling traffic speed to protect the workforce. No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
