ADVISORY NOTICE CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL U5623 MEATHOP ROAD, MEATHOP (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020
Cumbria County Council made an order to enable Morrison Utility Services to carry out water service replacement works, which first came into operation 13th February 2020, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5623 Meathop Road, Meathop from a point approx. 2.9km north east of its junction with the B5277 extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 111 m. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U5623, and the B5277.
THE WORKS WILL BE CARRIED OUT UNDER THE PROVISION OF THE ABOVE ORDER AND WILL COMMENCE 28 MAY 2020 WITH AN APPROXIMATE DURATION OF 7 DAYS.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
