DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017
On 21 November 2019 Cumbria Count/ Council confirmed the above named Order made under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, will divert that section of public footpath no 216002 at Cockermouth Wastewater Treatment Works from grid reference 310455 530918 for about B8 metres south westwards to grid reference 310384 530866: to run grid reference 310479 530902 for about 83 metres south westwards to grid reference 310416 530848 then north westwards for about 37 metres to grid reference 310384 530866. The width of the new path will be 1.8 metres. A copy of the confirmed Order and map may be inspected free of charge at Cockermouth Library, Main Street, Cockermouth and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ (ref 5.1.408). The order comes into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town & Country Planning Act, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 278 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, within 6 weeks from 29 November 2019 as required by paragraph 7 of the Schedule 14 to that Act
