Are you registered to vote?
The Register of Electors is updated each year and two versions of the Register are published by 1 st November - an electoral register which lists everyone who is entitled to vote and an open register which leaves out the names and addresses of people who have asked for them to be excluded from that version of the register.
The electoral register can be inspected under supervision at: THE CIVIC CENTRE, CARLISLE
The law says who can have a copy of the electoral register and restricts what it can be used for.
The open register can be used for any purpose and can be bought by anyone who asks for a copy. It can be inspected at:
THE CIVIC CENTRE, CARLISLE Anyone who has been missed off the Register or recently changed address can register on line at
or can apply to the Electoral Registration Officer to register at their new address by telephoning Carlisle 817555 or 817556 or by firstname.lastname@example.org
. The Register is updated every month until the next annual revision in December 2020. Amendments to the register can be inspected under supervision at the same address.
You can vote in elections only if your name appears in the Register. The next election is the Parliamentary Election on 12th December 2019.
