THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U566I COCKRIGG LANE NEAR HALFPENNY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable B4RN to carry out excavation and installation works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the U566I Cockrigg Lane near Halfpenny from its junction with the A65, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 420m. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the U566I Cockrigg Lane, A65 and the C5094 Gatebeck Lane. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to personnel or emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties;
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Apply to personnel or vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2019 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
