WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF BROUGHTON MOOR: DISTRICT OF ALLERDALE) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER (NO 1) 2017 On 9 October 2019 the above named Order was confirmed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with modifications.

The effect of the Order, as confirmed with modification, will be to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a length of public footpath in Broughton Moor from Chapel Terrace at GR 305062 533323 south southeastwards for about 47 metres to a gap at GR 305088 533285 continuing south southeastwards for a further 16 metres to join footpath no 219014 at GR 305094 533270. The width of the path will be 3 metres.
A copy of the Order as confirmed, the Inspectors decision letter and map may be inspected free of charge at Maryport library, Lawson Street, Maryport and the offices of the Countryside Mapping Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ (ref 5.2.352). The Order come into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within 6 weeks from 18 October 2019 make an application to the High Court.
