THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U20I0 AIKTON, B5302 WAVERBRIDGE, U2067 KIRKLAND ROAD, WIGTON, U2077 AND U208I BLENNERHASSET) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out highway works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road;

1. U2010 Aikton, from its junction with the U2013, extending in an overall north westerly direction for approx 1.7km; Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U20I0 (Little Bampton) and U20I3;

Duration: Monday 9 September 2019 for approx. I week.

2. B5302 Waverbridge, from its junction with the C206I, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 1.5km; Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5302 (Silloth) B530I (Aspatria) and A596 (Waverbridge); Duration: Monday 9 September 2019 for approx. 2 days.



3. U2067 Kirkland Road, Wigton, from its junction with the B5302 to its junction with the U2066;



Alternative Route: via the U2066 and B5302;

Duration: Monday 9 September 2019 for approx. I day.

4. U2077 Blennerhasset, from its junction with the A596, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 1.5km to its junction with the U208I; and



5. U208I, Blennerhasset, from its junction with tiie A595, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 2.8km; Alternative Route: Via the A595 (Mealsgate), C2006 and A596; Duration: Monday 9 September 2019 for I week.



A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 9 September 2019 and may continue in force for a maximum period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required as detailed above.
