THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A592 TOWER WOOD,
NEAR WINDERMERE) (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable T & K Gallagher to carry out excavation and cable installation works ("the Works), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour along that section of the A592 Tower Wood, near Windermere from a point approx 290m north of its junction with the U525I extending in a northerly direction for approx. 115m. N.B. The 30 miles per hour speed restriction will operate where work is ongoing but the contractor's operatives and plant are not on site. It is required to protect road users passing through restricted width traffic lanes.
No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

The Order will come into operation on 23 September 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 5 days.
