THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (CI027 CORBY GATES

AND A689 MILTON LEVEL CROSSINGS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable TMS Ltd to carry out rail line utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the following lengths of road:-CI027 Corby Gates, from a point approx. 40 north of its junction with Woodlands, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 50m;

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the CI027, CI026 and A69.

Duration: from 3 August 2019 for approx. 2 nights between 2230 hours to 0830 hours. Reference: C368

A689 Milton, from a point approx. 1,200m south east of its (unction with the A69, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 60m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the A689, A69 and Bellister Bank to A689 (via Rowfoot and Lambley). Duration: from 4 August 2019 for approx. I night between 2200 hours and 0600 hours. Reference: C369

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and



4. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to Cumbria Highways, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle, CA6 4SJ (0300 303 2992) quoting reference specified above.



The Order will come into operation on 3 August 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required as detailed above.
