THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U1235 & A4 GOLDEN FLEECE ROUNDABOUT, CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY NO RIGHT TURN TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable BT Openreach to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which Is to;
1. Prohibit any vehicle which is travelling along the UI235 in a north easterly direction towards the A6, from making a right turn onto the A6;
Prohibit any vehicle which is travelling along the UI235 in a north easterly direction towards the A6, from making a right turn onto the A6;
Alternative Route: vehicles wishing to travel along the A6 in a south easterly direction towards Penrith, should turn left and proceed onto and around J42 (M6) roundabout, taking the 6th exit back onto the A6.
2. Prohibit any vehicle which is travelling in a north westerly direction towards Carlisle along the A6 from making a right turn into the Golden Fleece Service Station.
Alternative Route: vehicles wishing to access the Golden Fleece Service Station should continue onto and around J42 (M6) roundabout taking the 6th exit back onto the A6. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii) Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 3 June 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that ft will only be required for 2 nights between 2100 hours and 0600 hours.
