John Morton Stonebridge

STONEBRIDGE John Morton Viv and William wish to thank all those who have expressed sympathy and given support to them in the recent passing of John. Thank you to all family, friends, neighbours and each person from the 4th Battalion Kings Own Royal Border Regiment, Brigade Response Training Team and Brigade Reinforcement Team 42 (NW) Brigade, Cumbria Army Cadet Force, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Central Volunteer Headquarters (NRHQ), KORBR Regimental Association, Cumbria Museum of Military Life; staff and pupils from Trinity School, Carlisle College, Parish Councillors and those from near and far for demonstrating their fondness for and appreciation of John, their love and respect for him. This has been very much appreciated and brought much comfort. A particular thank you to Reverend Clive Hicks of Dufton and his parish team for their generous guidance and contributions to John's funeral service. Our genuine gratitude to Reverend Ian Grainger of Seaton, for his unfaltering support of John and his perceptive understanding in the conducting of John's service and his laying to rest. Heartfelt thanks also, for the thoughtful and sensitive care of John during his challenging illness by the excellent Kirkbride GP Surgery, the Community Nurses based at Wigton, Carlisle Specialist Palliative Care, the staff in the Cumberland Infirmary, at Reiver House and ward staff in Larch C and the attending consultants and specialists. Finally, our sincere gratitude to Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Director and her colleagues, for their welcome positivity, support and guidance in the most difficult of times. Their efficiency, care and attention to detail has been outstanding.
