Baldev Prakash, MBBS FRCS DOMS SETHI

SETHI Baldev Prakash, MBBS FRCS DOMS Beloved father of Roopa, Ravi and Bela and proud grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on 30th April 2022, aged 94. He was a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Head of the Eye Department at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. Funeral service to be held at Breakspear Crematorium East Chapel, London, on Monday, 16th May, at 12.00. A memorial service will be held in Dalston, Cumbria, in the summer. Family flowers only please and donations to Cumberland Infirmary Eye Department and St Luke's hospice. Donations and enquiries via Hearnden-Smith & Daughters Funeral Directors, 020 8421 2202.

Baldev was a great colleague, excellent ophthalmologist and helpful mentor.
We shall miss his kind counselling and friendly demeanour .

Mr Sethi was a customer of my Electronics Business, he became a great friend over the years. I found out that he looked after my eyesight when I was a baby. He was one of those people that everybody loved. He really liked his music and I serviced his audio equipment for over 30yrs. Before he left Dalston to live down south with his daughters , he treated my family to a fantastic Indian meal with his family. He was one of life’s greats and someone who’s memory we will forever cherish.
Mr Sethi was a true gentleman and a friend to many and will be sorely missed god bless him.
