WEIR Dorothy Meade (nee Baird) Peacefully at Pennine Lodge Care Home on Tuesday 2nd March 2021. Dorothy, aged 96 years, (formerly First Matron at Penrith New Hospital, and the City Maternity Hospital, Fusehill Street, Carlisle). Dorothy will be dearly missed by nephew Hamish, his family, as well as all her friends and former colleagues, and many members of staff at Pennine Lodge. A private funeral service will be held at Carlisle Crematorium on Wednesday 10th March at 9:40am. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Dorothy will be in aid of the British heart Foundation.
