Wood-mizer sawmill is a cut above

DEVONSHIRE Saw Mill is very proud of the fact that it has just been named the north of England agent for wood-mizer band sawmills.
Owner of the Millom based mill, Martin Phillips, says the wood-mizers have the added advantage of being either static or mobile – so if the trees which need to be cut are really big or in a difficult place then the mill can go to the tree – rather than the tree to the mill.
Mr Phillips bought the mill, which sells equipment and timber, eight years ago, but he has been in the timber business for 20 years.
He is so impressed with the wood-mizers that it will be close to the only type of equipment he will be selling in the future.
And on April 1 Mr Phillips will be holding an open day at his mill to show them off.
Mr Phillips has invited 72 wood-mizer customers to show them the new attachments as well as inviting extra potential customers.
