Ulpha family pays tribute to "much-loved son"

FOLLOWING a road traffic collision on the A959 near Duddon Bridge on Wednesday 5 December, the family of Peter Benson have paid tribute to a “much loved son”.

Have your say

Think the reality of it all is actually kicking in. Cant believe I am never ever going to speak to you again. I always thought our paths would cross again. But time for you to join your loved ones up there. May you rest in peace.

Devastating news. I remember the day I first met you, in the pub with friends. As years went by we always stood by one another. I remember the look in your eyes and the smile on your face. Just wish I had the chance to say good bye once more. R.I.P you always had a special place in my geart. Thoughts go out to the family.

My thoughts are with the family, an unimaginable loss.

I drive this road every day. Its a scandal how many accidents occur on this road, how often its blocked & that its still single track in places.

The local politicians should be held to account for every injury & death.

Its rubbish there's no money for road improvements, just driven through Wales and "A" road improvements the whole way.

I was in the traffic just behind the incident for over 4 hrs and I prayed all would be ok I kept check on my IPad only to learn of this young mans death.... I am so sad about this and have been all week. My thoughts and wishes go to the family as I, myself have been in this same place. So sorry for your loss

I think "Alison's" comment need to be removed. Makes sick how some of you are missing the big picture here it's not about bridges or roads a young man has lost his life. Sort it out grrr!!! If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything imagen if his family saw these comments or if you we're in there situation. Rant over.. Thoughts go to the family xx
