Following the end of their season, who do you believe was the stand-out player for Workington Town?

Every season we offer you the chance to honour your favourite player from the League One season. Below, Helen Thompson looks at five possible winners...

TOM CURWEN: The former Seaton amateur has had a great first season as a professional. He has a high work-rate and has worked hard on his defence all term. Curwen has put in some long stints in the pack in games and never took a backward step.

JAMIE DORAN: The half-back/hooker has turned games this season. He has created opportunities from nowhere and capped one memorable performance with a length-of-the-field try. His performances have steadily improved all season and enjoyed a successful partnership with Carl Forber in the centre of the field.

CARL FORBER: His experience and goal kicking capabilities have proven key to several games this season for Workington. The on-field captain is a calm head and a guiding hand for many of the younger members of the team.

JOE HAMBLEY: The three-quarter certainly knows where the try line is this season, racking up 18 tries in the League One campaign, earning himself a fifth place in the overall try scoring charts for the season. He is still young and improving constantly with a lot of potential.

STEVIE SCHOLEY: One of the most consistent performers week in and week out, the former Maryport amateur has been a rock in defence for Workington this season. His barnstorming runs have also caused problems for rivals in attack and earned him several man of the match awards throughout the year.

PERRY SINGLETON: Another consistent performer, he has earned himself a regular berth in the side since joining from. A natural centre, his versatility has seen him move between the three-quarters and loose-forward throughout the season and he has picked up several tries, whilst maintaining a strong defence.
