Workington Reds winger Conor Tinnion says he's eager to add to his goal tally after breaking his duck for the season last weekend.

The 25-year-old opened his account in last weekend's FA Cup victory over Shildon, which propelled them into the third qualifying round.

Tinnion is hoping to be selected for tomorrow's clash with Grantham as they look to halt a six-match winless run in the league.

Reds had a break in midweek after their match with Marine was postponed due to the Merseyside outfit's FA Cup replay with Nantwich.

Grantham have the same number of points as Reds, but have played a game more and have an inferior goal difference.

Tinnion said: "I don't think there's any shying away from it that I'm one of the more attacking players.

"Hopefully, I can kick on and get a few more goals. We can't be over-reliant on the strikers and we need our midfielders to chip in.

"Early on in the season, they tend to cram fixtures in and you can go from having nothing to having two games a week every week.

"But it's been nice to have had midweek off and there are a few lads carrying knocks and it gives them a chance of being fit for Saturday."

The first-team squad were due to train last night as usual.

Long-term absentees Gari Rowntree and Anthony Wright are still sidelined.

Reds took four points off The Gingerbreads last season with an away win and a draw at home.

Tinnion added: "They're always a strong physical team and we've struggled a couple of times against them.

"They're well organised, difficult to beat and they'll probably be quite direct.

"If we can take some confidence into the weekend, hopefully we can get a run of results together.

"There's no getting around the fact that we need to do that if we want to achieve this season."

Kick-off at Borough Park is at 3pm.
