Workington Reds will be hoping to do the double over rivals Nantwich Town for a second season, starting tomorrow afternoon.

Reds travel to Nantwich looking for their second win of the new season, with their opponents still to register a victory in the opening two games.

Last season the Dabbers finished just below Reds in fifth but Workington did the double over Cheshire side, winning 3-1 at home on Boxing day and 1-0 away over Easter.

Reds joint chairman John Mackay is hoping for a repeat but knows it will not be an easy task.

"We did the double over them last season and we are hpoing we can do the same again," said Mackay.

"Our aim is to win more games than we did last year and to secure a better play-off place or go one better than that.

"But there are 44 games left so there is a long journey ahead of us."

With Reds going down at the hands of Marine on Tuesday night, Mackay says everyone is determined to put things right tomorrow.

"It is all positive in the camp," added Mackay. "At the end of the day we are not going to win all of our games.

"We had a good start with a win over Halesowen and then we had a blip against Marine on Tuesday that we want to now rectify.

"Hopefully we can got and get a good result on Saturday. The lads are positive and looking forward to it."

Mackay said a host of small factors, including a traffic hold-up and injuries, contributed to the loss on Tuesday.

And he said it can show just how small the margins between winning and losing can be.

"Half a millimetre can be the difference between pocketing the black or not in snooker, or a hundredth of a second can determine whether you get gold or silver in athletics," added Mackay.

"And little things make a difference in a football match."
