Workington Reds boss Lee Andrews says his side has the potential to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy today.

National League Bromley stand in the way of Reds' hopes and dreams this afternoon at Borough Park, ko 3pm.

But Andrews says having to travel to West Cumbria will be a leveller for the Greater London outfit, who face a nearly 700-mile round trip for the game.

"The lads want to make it to the quarter-finals and then we would be just two games from Wembley," said joint manager Andrews.

"It would put us one step closer to achieving something at the end of the season."

He added: "I'm sure Bromley will be full of confidence after the recent run of form they have had.

"They are doing well in the National League but they have to travel up to us for this game.

"They will be coming to West Cumbria on a cold, wet and windy day and I think that will be a real leveller.

"Bromley play on a plastic pitch so Borough Park will provide a real challenge for them.

"They will be looking to come here, full of confidence and sweep us aside so we have to make it difficult for them."

Not only would the win move the victors closer to Wembley but there is also a cash injection of £8,000 at stake.

Andrews said he had watched videos of Bromley and admitted they looked a strong team but he believes his side can combat them.

Reds will go into the clash without defender Dan Wordsworth who received his 10th yellow card in the loss at Sutton Coldfield last weekend and will now miss two games.

Bromley have added two new faces to their squad ahead of the tie, with forward Brandon Hanlan joining on loan until the end of the season and goalkeeper Max Huxter heading back.

Hanlan has permission to play in the Buildbase FA Trophy and will be available for selection today.
